Hoarding Disorder affects over 9 million people and it is estimated that these statistics are on the rise. Unfortunately, current research indicates that medications have only minimal benefit and therefore, therapeutic interventions are required. This presentation will discuss the front line treatments for this condition which include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention, evidenced-based techniques that can produce chemical changes in the brain. Case examples will be provided to outline the treatment process with an opportunity for questions.
