The Power of Mindfulness and How to Hardwire Your Brain for Happiness. Presented by Kathy Ventry, LMFT

Learning how to be mindful and stay in the present moment is a helpful skill when dealing with anxiety. Our brains are neuroplastic, which means they have the ability to change. Neuropsychologist Rick Hanson has done a lot of research on the brain and is the author of How to Hardwire Your Brain for Happiness. We’ll discuss the basic tenets of practicing mindfulness to include informal mindfulness exercises and simple getting present exercises, and Dr. Hanson’s steps for creating more happiness in our lives.
