Post traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is marked by clear biological changes as well as psychological symptoms. It is complicated by the fact that people with PTSD may often develop additional disorders such as depression, substance abuse, and problems with memory and cognition. This disorder can cause impairment in a person’s ability to function in social, educational, and other aspects of one’s life. My guest, Roberto Rodriquez, MA and co-author of Exploring Trauma: A Brief Intervention for Men, will discuss how to recognize trauma, signs and symptoms, and a new, innovative model to help men cope with trauma.
