Conquering Your Test Anxiety: Using CBT to Help Improve Outcome and Success

With the pressures and demands to perform well in school, many individuals struggle with anxiety that can impair their ability to focus and concentrate.  This can greatly impact the outcome on exams and other assignments related to the educational environment. This presentation will introduce Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a treatment modality to help combat the negative thinking patterns that can cause one to spiral in the test taking process.  Use of mindfulness will also be introduced to help individuals learn how to decrease catastrophic thoughts and help individuals to become more present and in the moment.
