Note: The LISTEN preview is rescheduled for a later date. Please check back for updates.

Come and join us as we preview the film- LISTEN. On September 15, 2008, the son of Lisa Ford Berry, Michael, became a victim of a peer abuse driven bullycide. He shot himself on his 17th birthday at Mira Loma High School. Michael said something, and no one did anything; no one LISTENED. September is Suicide Awareness Month and October is Bullying Prevention. Join us to help make this a community event where suicide, peer abuse, bullying, domestic violence, self-harm, gang violence, and racism are discussed.

Lisa Ford Berry –Introduction
Facilitate – Joanna Jullien – Core Connectivity
Kate Hazarian MFT – San Juan Unified School District Administrator.

This film presentation will demonstrate how we can improve the mental wellness of our communities through active listening. LISTEN helps youth feel like they are not alone and empowers them to empathize with their peers and vocalize their own struggles. We have to amplify the impact and improve the mental wellness of our communities before we lose more people who feel lost, alone and unheard. Time for Q & A will be allotted.
