OCD Sacramento- “Introduction to Social Anxiety and Treatment”

12th July 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Social Anxiety Disorder is the second most common anxiety disorder in the U.S. affecting both children and adults alike. The implications can be devastating, impairing one’s ability to work, go to school, and engage in social relationships. Treatment for this condition produces it’s challenges as the very social situations that a person fears is approached through Exposure and Response Prevention. This modality, which provides a gradual desensitization, can also produce results lasting a lifetime.

Join Heather Damon who will discuss common symptoms of Social Anxiety Disorder, what to expect in treatment, and offer an opportunity to ask clarifying questions.
