Anxiety Disorders: The Basics of Treatment and How to Access Help
September 20 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Anxiety Disorders are commonly missed among students in school. Inability to focus and concentrate can be viewed as difficulty with inattention. Failure to complete or turn in homework and school refusal can be interpreted as defiance. In the past few years, we have seen a greater influx of individuals struggling with perfectionism, panic attacks, and severe social anxiety.
This presentation will teach participants symptoms of the most common anxiety disorders, how they can be missed or misinterpreted, and what treatment looks like. Early intervention and how to access resources will be discussed. Time for Q & A will be allotted.
